Category :The Neff Headwear and Transworld Skateboarding East Vs. West Shop Video Contest is heating up.

Round 1 was a serious match up between East: NJ Skateshop and West: Exit Real World with each posting super long clips that literally blew us away with the amount of riders/ footage and the insane quality of skating. These first two clips are currently in a dead tie and they have ignited a flurry of comments and controversy.
Well, Round 2 has just gone live with Black Sheep Vs. ZJ Boarding House. We submitted a pretty grimey East Coast edit that Drew Adams threw together for us. Typical Spawns of Gnar fashion with a dirty ass lens and featuring Marky Clements, Drew Adams, Hunter McNeish, Ian Isenhour, Justin Pittman, Blake Spencer, OJ Farrar, Trey Boyd, and Tripp Bartlett. (We also have some file compression issues that are distorting it a bit, but please bear with us until we can get a better quality version uploaded…)
Our main objective was to share a small glimpse into the local scene. It’s really hard to narrow it down to a single clip of certain spots and skaters, so here’s an alternate edit that Phelps put together as well. Check it out, then be sure to head over to TWS watch the official clip and show your support for Black Sheep and the entire East Coast.
Make sure to spread the word on Twitter and Facebook and tell all your friends to VOTE East Coast!
Neff Headwear and Transworld Skateboarding have teamed up to bring us the first ever East Vs. West Shop Video Contest.
Black Sheep has been selected as one of only 10 East coast Shops invited to participate.
Check the official details below, then be sure to check TWS on November 5th for the Black Sheep Vs. ZJ Boarding House match up and VOTE!
“Starting next Monday, November 1, skateboarding.com in association with Neff will be launching the East Vs. West Shop Video Contest. In this unprecedented competition, we gathered 20 shop promos (10 shops from the West, and 10 from the East).
The competition will run for six weeks with the sole winner being announced on December 15. Each battle will have a poll for users to vote on their favorite video. The winner will be chosen from a combination of user votes and the TransWorld staff. The winning shop will get $10,000 ($7,000 in cash, $3,000 in Neff product). Check out the brackets and dates below the trailer.”

If you’ve been following us on Twitter, or are a fan of our Facebook Page, then you caught an exclusive sneak peak of our recent collaboration with Spitfire Wheels earlier this week. Well, today we are proud to present a closer look at the Limited Edition Black Sheep x Spitfire Wheels.
You know that Spitfire is the #1 wheel brand in the world and nearly everyone at the shop has been riding them for years, so it was only right for Black Sheep to partner up with them for our own Limited Edition version.

Our good friend and resident Art Director, Richie McCorkle collaborated with us closely on the graphic design of the the wheels, and we went through many versions until we got it right.
We chose a clean and classic two-sided design composed of Black, Gold, and Silver. A single wheel of the pack features a reverse black print on both sides and represents the “Black Sheep” of the four wheels. The “Black Sheep wheel” is also highlighted by a repeating crown pattern to represent our very own Queen City.
Front:

The wheels also feature our “O.G. Black Sheep logo” and additional custom labeling including the North Carolina state motto– Esse Quam Videri which means “To Be Rather Than To Seem.”
Back:

To top it all off, the Black Sheep x Spitfire wheels are certified F-1 Street Burner Urethane, Spitfire’s exclusive flatspot resistant urethane that grips when you need it, provides a controlled slide when you want it, and is specially formulated to withstand any street terrain.
These are instant classics that won’t last long, so come by and grab your set today, or buy them in our online shop.
