Band of Horses Skate Vid Contest

Man, I still get a little teary eyed watching Guy Mariano skating to Band of Horses “The Funeral” in Fully Flared…

Well, Creighton Barrett from Band of Horses hit us up personally to ask us to help get the word out about a rad contest they are throwing over on their Facebook Page.

Creighton is from the South, so he wants to give back and make sure that the Southern Skate Scene is properly represented. Here’s the lowdown, just make a video of your best skate footage featuring one of the songs from the new BOH album, Infinite Arms, and you could win:

-Airfare and hotel for two to Los Angeles

September 10 Nike SB Now Available

The September 10 Nike SB Releases have arrived at Black Sheep and are now available.

Lots of great release this month, including the Dunk Low Pro SB (Black/ White/ Orange Blaze) in a bangin’ black and orange leather and suede colorway taking it’s inspiration from Harley Davidson, the Stefan Janoski (Anthracite/ Anthracite) done up in a clean all grey canvas, the Omar Salazar Signature (Urban Haze/ Black Varsity/ Crimson) in an army green featuring a black swoosh and red highlights, the P Rod 2.5 (Sport Red/ Cool Grey) in a skateable red suede with grey swoosh, and the Zoom Bruin SB (University Blue/ Neutral Grey) in a Carolina Blue suede.

Nike SB P Rod 4 Available Saturday, August 21st

The latest Signature Shoe from Paul Rodriguez, the brand new and improved P Rod 4 by Nike SB will be available on Saturday, August 21 at 11:00 am. Available in Black Suede/ White and White Suede / Black colorways.

Nike SB has also launched a really cool P Rod 4 micro site featuring the technical info on the shoe, as well as a pretty amazing commercial of P Rod shredding the streets of New York and a voice over by NYC hip hop legend Nas.

Restock: Supra EE Avenger (Black/ Grey/ Red)

Some more arrivals from Supra Footwear this week, including a restock of the EE Avenger in a “Jordan-esque” Black Nubuck/ Grey/ Red. We just received a restock on a couple of the most popular drops from the recent August Nike SB Collection, including the Dunk Mid Premium (Black/ Black) in a premium all black suede and leather combination as well as the “Tiffany” Stefan Janoski Signature (Black/ Mint) in a black suede with a “Tiffany” blue swoosh.

Vans Surf Collection: E Street and Rata Vulc

We just received a big shipment of some great casual styles from the Vans Surf Collection, including the E Street and the Rata Vulc in some of the most popular colors. Each of these styles are great chillers and feature a deconstructed low profile design.

The E-Street is available in Black/ Black (Alex Knost), Red/ Blue (Andrew Doheny), and Black/ Pewter Grey (Gudauskas Brothers). These eco-conscious kicks are built for comfort, and benefit from completely unique design contributions from select Vans Surf team members. Their earth-friendly construction includes super-soft, contoured midsoles, flexi-vulc gum rubber outsoles, waffle sole-textured foot beds, 100% Hemp uppers, and water-based inks and glues.

The latest Quickstrike from Nike SB, the “Tecate” Dunk High will be available on Saturday, August 14th at 11:00 am.

Adding to the list of beer inspired SB’s such as the Heineken , Newcastle, and Miller High Life Dunks, the “Tecate” Dunk High (Metallic Gold/ Sport Red/ Black) takes it’s inspiration from the popular Tex Mex Cereveza of the same name. Black Sheep homie, Tyler Tufty came up with this colorway– if you’ve ever hung out and skated with Tyler then you know he rips on a skateboard as well as in the bars.

Available in men’s sizes 4-13. As with all Nike SB Quickstrikes, supplies are extremely limited, so don’t sleep.

The “Tecate” Dunks feature a unique mix of materials, including a sport red suede and black leather upper, a red patent leather swoosh, and a metallic gold and silver side panels that mimic the beer can’s signature color scheme. Salud!

New Vans: Zapato Del Barco boat shoes

Now in stock, the Zapato Del Barco boat shoe from Vans. The Zapato del Barco sports a vintage old school boat/deck shoe silhouette and features an all canvas upper with a distressed rough edge for a worn look, metal eyelets designed to allow the side laces to slide easily around the shoe for easier adjustments, padded insole for comfort, and a vulcanized sole.

Now available in classic Black/ True White, a nautical Navy/ True White, and the clean and simple White/ True White.
