This was an epic weekend with lots of great skating and lots of great friends in town to hang out and rage. Another special thanks to all the homies at Red Bull, SPoT, and all the shops and skaters that showed up for supporting Black Sheep and Charlotte Skateboarding.
Mike has some photos of the local crew up over at Danger Means Nothing. Also, be sure to check the main page for lots of other great photos.

Ryan Flynn was in town for the event and has posted some great pics up over at Skateboarder Magazine
Matt Fink ripped it up all day long in the heat and came in first with Scotty Moore and Connor Champion in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Lots of Black Sheep homies rounding out the top 12 as well, so the locals were definitely ripping it up.

Checkout a quick video clip and final results over at Skatepark of Tampa.
It’s that time of year again, June 21st is the first day of Summer and that means “Go Skateboarding Day” is here and in full effect. We’ve got Mark, Danny, and lots of the shop homies cruising the streets with the kids and giving away some product to help celebrate.
So, go grab your board and enjoy some time with all your homies. The cops have been to the shop a few times today already, so just be sure to keep things respectful and mellow– you don’t want to find yourself on the wrong side of the arm of the law.
Happy Go Skateboarding Day– Black Sheep will see you in the streets and in the bars for sure.

Black Sheep and Red Bull Skateboarding are teaming up this weekend to bring you Red Bull’s Annual Manny Mania Am Contest in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, June 19th, 2010.
The event will take place as part of this year’s Southend Soul Art Festival, and Camden Road will be blocked off to make room for the legendary Red Bull Manny Mania street course.
The contest is Invite Only and the Top Am’s from the Southeast will be traveling to Charlotte to compete.
Winners from the event will qualify to advance to the Manny Mania World Final held August in New York City where one lucky amateur will win the chance to compete against the world’s top pro’s in the world’s biggest manual skate contest.
Peep some highlights from last year’s events below…

This weekend’s Maloof Money Cup NYC is a wrap, and it looks like Chris Cole took top honors and the $100,000 cash prize for the 2nd year in a row. Not too bad for a day’s “work.”
The top three was rounded out by P Rod in 2nd Place and Torey Pudwill in 3rd. You can check the rest of the Top Twelve over at Skatepark of Tampa or the full coverage over at Fuel TV.

If you’ve been following the Black Sheep Twitter, then you already know that Underground Hip Hop Legend Murs came through the Sheep yesterday and kicked it with the Camden Crew. Murs is super down to earth, and we even chatted about when I saw him in concert at the the Charlotte underground hip hop club, the “Hungry Duck” about 7-8 years ago as well as his “Dream Team of Top 10 Skaters of All Time.”
Dude is super mellow and has hip hop and skate knowledge for days, so much respect. He even copped an ill tie dyed Black Sheep tee to support the cause. Be sure to check Murs out online and support real, independent hip hop.

Come join us for the unveiling of the first Black Sheep x AKomplice Collabo tee this Friday, May 21st here at the shop. It’s a remix of an out of print classic and available in an exclusive colorway only at Black Sheep.

Stop by and be one of the first to check the latest goods, have a drink, and just hang out. Niche is also doing a big tee shirt launch that night, so the Camden Block is sure to be rocking.
We’ll be hanging at the shop from 6:00 - 10:00 pm and then moving over to Dharma Lounge for the After Party featuring NYC’s DJ Cousin Cole.
I’ve been a fan of Cole’s for a few years, so really looking forward to seeing him play live on the block. Dude is legit, so be sure to check some of his mixes here.
